How come when i try to start psp custom firmware 4.01m33 i get game could not start?

Q. This is my first time installing custom firmware on my slim and i never did this before and it getting annoying can anyone help me?

A. if it is a game that you are trying to start then you need to make sure that you have switched the iso mode to m33 driver. you can do that by going to recovery mode (hold down R and power up) and go to configuration and iso mode. that will get the game from your memory card to start. if you are just trying to install psp 4.01m33 through like an update then that is not going to be possible. in order to update to 4.01m33 you need to have another cfw version. ex: 3.90m33 (you need pandoras battery and magic memory stick to install cfw). and finally if you are trying to update from another cfw version you need to make sure you have both the sony update and the dark-alex update. make sure you change the name of the sony update to 401 and then leave the dark alex update at EBOOT. after that you should be good to go.
